On the front of the postcard in red typed lettering is "RAILWAY STATION, KATANNING, W.A."
On the back of the postcard handwritten in black ink is "To Mother from Bill 6-8-16"
On the back of the postcard is printed in red lettering is "POST" with a logo with initials inside it followed by "CARD" and below this line the card has two columns with the headings "This space may be used communications." and "The ADDRESS only to be written here.", and in the top right hand corner is a square with the word "STAMP" inside to affix a stamp.
