Historical information

Frederick Waldeck was born in what is now Germany and came to the Swan River Colony as a missionary with his fiancée, Fredericke Kniest. Waldeck worked as a tailor to help support his family. The couple later settled on a farm at Greenough. Their daughter Elizabeth married John Maley.
