Overview

This is an invitation from the Royal Fremantle Golf Club to MGGC members for a 4BBB golf competition on 16 February, 1969. This date is approximately three months before play formally commenced at Melville Glades.

The invitation is interesting given that several RFGC members were involved with the formation of MGGC.

The event is also considered to be the forerunner to the regular challenge between the two clubs originally titled the Club and Mug Trophy and subsequently the Ron Carroll Trophy.
