George McLeod
c. 1912A cream embossed booklet which contains a sepia head and shoulders portrait of a middle aged man. The man has fair hair and a moustache.
George McLeod came to Katanning in 1898 and bought the Katanning Hotel 'freehold' and rebuilt the hotel in 1898 which he managed until 1911 when he leased it. He was elected to the Katanning Road Board in 1908.

In the bottom right hand corner on the photograph handwritten in black ink is "WmJ Ford Katanning Studio".
On the card below the photograph handwritten in blue ink is "Mr George McLeod".
On the inside cover of the booklet handwritten in blue ink is "Manager of Katanning Hotel Chairman of Roads Board 1912".
George McLeod was a hotel and property owner, the original Katanning Hotel was burnt down in 1897 and George McLeod rebuilt the second Katanning Hotel in 1898.
