Mr. Alf Pamment was a district identity during the 1930s and 1940s. He is with his horse 'Woolwich Boy', winner of over 100 first prizes in single harness and five championships at the Royal Show.

On the back of the postcard printed in brown lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
On the back of the postcard handwritten in brown ink is "Pam + his trotter 'Woolwich Boy' ? Winner of many races + best harness horse along the great ? Rly 1921".
