THE "WHITE HOUSE", ALBANY 1924
c. 1924A black and white (slightly out of focus) photographic image of a popular and very well-known beach house at Middleton Beach, Albany. A rambling single-story structure can be made out close to the centre image.
The house is set behind a substantial chest-high stone wall.
Popular holiday let beach house close to Middleton Beach in Albany. Appears frequently advising of holiday makers in residence in the Albany Advertiser personal column, the Country Notes of the Western Mail and other regional news papers from around 1910 until the second war. It also served as the residence for the Alex Thomson, M.L.C for the later part of much of this period when his family were staying in Albany.
The house was so well known in fact an actual street address is never mentioned. It was probably some where along what is now Adelaide Cres, Albany WA.
