Historical information

The Claremont Post and Telegraphic Office was constructed in 1896. Designed by Government Architect, George Temple Poole who also designed the Claremont Station Master's House, the School on Bay View Terrace & the former Police Station on Stirling Highway, it included residential quarters for the postmaster.
