Overview

Summary of History of Melville Glades Golf Club is a three page, A4 sized document understood to be a personal creation of Fred Helfers, the club's inaugural Managing Secretary.

Fred's long serving record at the club would have made him an ideal person to compile this document. Some corrections are evident in the document which may have been in association with the club historian at the time, Laurie Palmer.

From the content it appears that this version was created as a hand-out to new club members. Without intending to discredit this document it should be noted that the content has not been verified against other records of the club history.
