Overview

Black and white photo of a bee-keeper's honey processing equipment display in Connor's Mill.
Shows an uncapping container, three kerosene tins and a larger metal container - a honey extractor which had a frame to hold two honeycombs which were spun the remove the honey. There is a handle at the top of this container attached to a geared wheel which connects with the interior frame to spin the honeycomb.
Also visible are various yellow information panels.
The display is protected by a rope barrier.

Historical information

Text from label next to uncapping container,
"Uncappings were drained and sorted in 4 gallon tins or in bulk.
At end of season cappings were melted over hot water, separating the beeswax from the small amount of honey left in the capping.
The cold wax was placed in water, melted, settled and then poured into …(text obscured)... beeswax wax then ready for market.'
