AUSTRO-ASIAN PROPOSED FIVE YEAR GOLF COURSE PLAN
1979 - 1984Austro-Asian Golf Service Pty Ltd were contracted to produce this five year golf course plan "to make your course more interesting for members". The covering letter is dated 26th June, 1979.
The plan includes advice to construct a nursery to enable greens to be relaid and enable a more rapid recommencement of play. Course alterations recommended include tees, fairway bunkers, mounding and greens.
The Item has two sets of foolscap sized documents detailing the plans, each showing alterations for the 18 holes:
a) This is a bound report with the covering letter addressed to to the President and Committee. This version has 45 pages, with most of the 18 holes having separate pages for the tee, fairway and green.
b) This contains unbound pages with no covering letter. It is mostly composed of one page for each of the 18 holes.
It is not clear why there are two sets of plans but the second set has more detailed descriptions of the recommended alterations. Hand written comments appear on several pages, some agreeing, some not, with the recommended changes.
