Medal Group of four medals including Military Cross awarded to Lieutenant Walter Roy Maddeford. The medals are Court Mounted with replacement ribbons
Military Cross
'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty when in charge of a platoon. During the advance he rushed the door of a dug out and, with his runner took forty three prisoners. When his company commander and two other officers became casualties he took command of the company and supervised the consolidation.'
