Crimean War medal group of Pensioner Guard, Private John McMahon awarded for service in the Crimean War with 47th Regiment of Foot.
John McMahon was allocated land in Northam in 1875 having met the service obligations of the Enrolled pensioner Force. he was one of 36 surviving members of the Force who attended the Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Banquet held in St George's Hall, Perth in 1897

The medal group consists of the British Crimea medal with bars for Alma, Inkermann and Sebastopol and the Turkish Crimean War Medal
