Cream woollen blanket with a light cream blanket-stitching on top and bottom edges. Has a small blue text with white background cotton makers label fixed to the lower righthand side corner.

Historical information

The Albany Woollen Mills, also known as Worsted and Woollen Mills Ltd., was Western Australia’s first woollen mill. It was officially opened on 5 February 1925. In 1963 it was one of four mills to be awarded defence contracts for the production of 160,000 army blankets.
