The people in the photograph have been identified as from left - Jane Bridgeman (nee Blaney) holding adopted son Victor; Catherine Gale Scrivener (nee Bridgeman) with daughter Nell (Ellen); Catherine (Kitty) and Joseph Bridgeman.
There is no indication as to where the photograph was taken. Edmund W. Diederich was a photographer in South Australia in 1883.

Joseph Bridgeman (also spelt Bridgman) was a farmer at Greenough. His wife Catherine drowned in the 1888 floods.
