This baseball from the first-ever game played at Parry Field baseball stadium is discoloured with the ochre-coloured dirt of the field. It bears the signatures of the three officiating umpires and the date and name of the field.

Historical information

Parry Field baseball stadium in Perth, Western Australia, was named after Western Australian baseball champion and All-Australian player, Kevin Parry, who had nurtured the idea of a home for baseball for more than 20 years. The stadium held its first game on November 23rd, 1982 and this ball was souvenired by the plate umpire Ken Smith. The stadium was closed and demolished in 1997.
