Three prominent personalities in Western Australian baseball, Kevin Parry, Neville Pratt and Doug Corker, played significant roles in the development of Parry Field. The baseball park bears the name of Kevin Parry, who represented Western Australia 74 times and was an all-Australian player in 1962.

The newspaper articles were donated to the Baseball WA Museum & Archives by the family of Alan Luscombe, a Western Australian state league, national and international baseball umpire.
