1975 was the 36th Claxton Shield Series, an Australian national competition. It was contested in Sydney, New South Wales with Western Australia winning the Shield.
Team members were (L-R):
Back row - John Kelly (Manager), Bob Harris, Barry Stace, Darryl Moyle, Ross Evans, Syd Thompson, Ian Hoad, Steve Oxbrow, Neil Page, Ian Miller, Kerry Wither.
Front row - Neil Corker (Bat boy), Ray Hill, Gary Scarterfield, Don Knapp, Don Butler, Rodney Byrne (Coach), John Cole (Asst. Coach), Ray Michell, Rick Pence.

Contextual Information

This Western Australian team won the Claxton Shield in 1975, 23 years after the State's first win in 1952. It was the start of Western Australia's dominance in the second half of the 19070s when they won three consecutive championships in 1977, 1978 and 1979.
