Below the photograph hand written in black texta is "Front Row: Michael Cronin J.P. Tom Haddleton, Fisher Crosby (Chairman) R.S. Taylor Tom Garstone." and below this line is "Back Row: Elijah Bell, L.D.Hart (Pressman) T.H. Stansbury (Secretary) Pat Garrity name is crossed out and P. Cuneen" is substituted.

On the back of the photograph handwritten in red ink is "FROM HERZEL W.H. BAKER FIRST SECRETARY KATANNING HISTORICAL SOCIETY LATER SECRETARY ROYAL SOCIETY OF W.A." and in pencil "Katanning road Board 1896".
