Below the photograph in black typed lettering is "A.E. Piesse, J.P. H.V. Piesse. G McLeod, J.P. A.G. Hobbs. A.E. Radford, J.P." and below this line is "W.J. Cobb (Manager) A .Thomson M.L.A. W.J. Rogers, J.P. (Chairman). E.R. Bell, J.P. T. McGuire J.P."

On the back of the photograph in black typed lettering on a piece of paper is "Presented by the Hon. ALEXANDER THOMSON M.L.C. who played a leading part in securing the continuance of the KATANNING FLOUR MILLS, when it might have been sold in 1927 and removed elsewhere".
