POSTCARD: DENNIS, BIRTHDAY COUPLE KISSING IN HEART
1909Horizontal cream postcard with a central image od a couple kissinin in a pale pink heart with a black outline. The woman (left) has her long brown hari pulled back in an elaborate updo. The man (right) has short hair and is wearing a white button up with a high collar and a black jacket. They both have their eyes open.
The reverse has a cursive hand written message adressed to Lillian Philp from Jim Dennis which reads: 'To Lil / From Jim / On her twenty second birthday / Jim rolls on and we never know, / What events may occur in a year. / We never thought on your last birthday. / That we should to each other be dear. / Let us hope as the years pass over our heads, / and the present we leave in the rear; / That love and affection and confidence too, / Will keep drawing us ever more near, / and so in the present may we look with a smile, / and the future without any fear.' It is dated '17:10:09' along the top edge.
