Summary: Born in the house at 198 Barker Road, Hazel lived in the same house in Subiaco for her entire life. During this interview Hazel recalls some of her experiences living in Subiaco, including recollections of her childhood, her long term support for the Subiaco Football Club, and changes she has seen in the area over time. Mrs Garton recalls her association with Subiaco; Subiaco versus West Perth; children's games, silent movies at Coliseum; picnics at Nedlands 1920s; Kings Park; rubbish and sewage; stables in Axon Street, deliveries - shopping; senior citizens; units-townhouses; shopping areas 1980s; identity vs WestPerth vs Daglish ('no man's land); division by railway; renovations; Subiaco football teams
