Overview

Black and white copy of a photograph of the Subiaco Municipal Chambers prior to its demolition. Image shows a single storey neo-classical building with four arched windows and an arched entrance in the centre. It appears that the foundation stones have been removed in preparation for demolition.
Also in the image are an elderly couple walking on the footpath to the bottom right of the building and the rear end of a car can be seen towards the middle right hand side.
Written on reverse in pencil: 'Council Chambers, later housed the library. April 1899 Municipal Chambers and Library Institute'. This is repeated in blue biro.
Another handwritten pencil note reads 'Demolished 1971, June'.
