Overview

Creative canvas pentagonal bag, designed and stitched by N.S.W textile artist / embroiderer Effie Mitrofanis in 1989.
Designed for a workshop “Rich and Exotic Bags” held at Kurri Kurri for the Sydney Creative Embroiderers and later given to the WA Guild in 1998.
Example of a variety of stitches, threads and embellishments, creating a 3D effect with stitching.
Shoulder cord is plaited with rouleaux and slubbed crochet cotton.

It is illustrated in her book “CREATIVE CANVAS EMBROIDERY” pages 6 , 7, XV and 48.
