circular dish shaped, possibly pewter, top is rather big for an egg and base is a short fluted out part for the stand.

this egg cup was the property of the Sisters of St Joseph's whilst in occupation at the Ongerup convent and Chapel 1970's -80's

Contextual information

The Motor mission Sisters of St Joseph were an part of Ongerup's history as they served a big part of the local area with their teachings of the Catholic faith. They started in the Tambellup area then after Ongerup Catholic community built a Convent with a Chapel as part of that same building, the sisters moved to work from the Ongerup area as their base home.
