Tea Pot
c. 1940This teapot is metal and presumed that it was originally silver plated, but at present it is very brass coloured. Is a distinctive UFO shape with curved spout on one side and a decorative handle on the other, the top lid is attached by a small moveable hinge and has a knob grip on the top.
This Teapot belonged to the St JOSEPHS CONVENT during the time that the St Joseph's order had the "Motor Mission" sisters living in Ongerup WA from 1970's - 1980's there were mostly 2 sisters of St Josephs stations in Ongerup and they travelled all around the area spreading the religious word, the area that was covered was from Tambellup, Gnowangerup, Borden, Ongerup Jerramungup, Bremer Bay and beyond sometimes. The Sisters lived in the Convent that was part of the St Josephs Chapel in Ongerup . The building cloosed up it services in 2022 and then the building was sold to private ownership in 2026.
