Historical information

Fowlers Vacola was established in Melbourne in 1915 by English migrant Joseph Fowler. It is an iconic Australian home-bottling system designed to preserve food using jars. rubber rings and vacuum-sealing heating process. it was very popular during the great depression and WW11. The method relies on heating food in sealed jars to 92"c to safely store produce without refrigeration.
