Historic Railway Barrack Building and Local Agricultural History. The Railway Barracks was built in 1918 as an overnight quarters for the train crews. It displays items from the pioneers around the Ongerup district. There's also a big shed that displays history from Ongerup's Shearling event held at a local shearing shed for 21 years. Plus vintage machinery and other items. We have a historic building moved into the ground that houses a Noongar foods and medicine display plus some of the birds of our area. Every year at Spring time the Museum opens for a Wildflower Display 2 weeks, to display the local areas wildflowers, the area is renowned for the orchid and Eucalypt species.
