This meat serving platter was used at the Glenview Guest House, which advertised that it had views of Churchman's Valley and Canning Valley, was serviced by a local bus and had tennis and billiard facilities. Glenview opperated as a guest house from c1920s through to c1940 when advertising seems to have stopped. Mr and Mrs K.W. Gilmore opperated the property from possibly the late 1920s to the c1945. This dish was used at the Glenview to serve meat to guests at dinner time.

It represents the many different businesses that have operated in the local area and how those businesses have evolved over time.
