TUREEN, SERVING - BLUE AND WHITE PATTERN
c. 1910 - 1950Oval ceramic glazed tureen with blue floral pattern on cream background semi-circular handles at either end. A lip along the inner rim to accommodate a lid. On bottom a oval shaped white foot base with scalloped edges.

This dish was used at the Glenview Guest House which advertised that it had views of Churchman's Valley and Canning Valley, was serviced by a local bus and had tennis and billiard facilities. Glenview opperated as a guest house from c1920s through to c1940 when advertising seems to have stopped. Mr and Mrs K.W. Gilmore opperated the property from possibly the late 1920s to the c1945. This dish was used at the Glenview to serve vegetables or soup to guests at dinner time.
