RANGER GUIDES T SHIRT
1986 - 1990A yellow short raglan sleeved T-shirt with round elastic collar.
On the front [Westswan Formwork] is written above a wide brown stripe and a wide black stripe. The black stripe has the lower corners cut off.
On the back of the shirt are two circles with the smaller one inside the other. There is text in between the circles that reads [ARMADALE] on the top and [RANGER GUIDES] on the bottom segments of the circle. Inside the smaller circle is a picture of a koala sitting on a branch. All of the text and imagery is in a light brown.
Sewn into back collar seam is a maker's label stating size, content and country of origin.
Girl Guides in Australia started in 1910 and joined the World Association in 1928. To date they have about 30,000 members.
Prior to 1996 there were four sections based on age: Gumnut Guides from 5-7; Old Brownie Guides from 7-10; Old Girl Guides from 10-14; and Old Ranger Guides from 14-18. Since 1996 all ages are now known as Guides.
