Small handmade wooden palm plane (boat shaped).
Blade and wedge are missing.

Historical information

Appears to be home-made. Designed to be held in one hand and possibly used on difficult, interlocked grains without tearing the wood.
These types of miniature planes are primarily used for highly detailed, precision work, such as shaping contours, trimming end grain, and making delicate, final surface touches on small wooden boxes.
