PHOTOGRAPH (COPY): PICNICKING AT CRAWLEY
c. 1905Smaller black and white copy.
The image shows a group of two women and two men sitting on the rocks, and a young girl paddling in the water at the Crawley foreshore. The women wear long skirts with full sleeved blouses and straw hats. The men wear trousers and jackets, with one man wearing a large brimmed hat and the other a straw boater. The girl wears a short skirt and a full sleeved blouse with a frilled collar and a straw hat. There is a shed at water level behind the girl and a couple of buildings can be seen on top of the hill in the background. Picnicking at Crawley was a favourite outing for Subiaco residents.
