WWI patriotic propaganda game - 'Hang the...'

c. 1915
Overview

Square wooden puzzle with a cream coloured section on the left featuring caricatures of the German Kaiser, Crown Prince and Von Tirpitz, and a larger black area on the right with embedded nails and a small red ear, eye and eyebrow. The words ''Hang the" appear in large red and black writing in a cream box within the black area. A long piece of string extends from beneath the puzzle. A set of gallows are depicted on the right with a chain extending down to where the string is attached.
The idea of the game is to wind the string around the nails to form the outlines of the German caricatures pictured.

The reverse gives the instructions for the game.
