PHOTOGRAPH: SOCIAL REUNION OF THE PIONEERS OF SUBIACO
1929The black and white image features the reunion part of the W.A. Centenary Celebrations held at the King's Hall on April 16, 1929. It was entry by invitation and a program of musical entertainment was presented. The photograph features the pioneers seated in rows, on wooden chairs. Two groups in the centre of the image (one behind the other) are distinguished by their grouping around a small table. These tables are covered with white tablecloths and the front one is further decorated with a vase of flowers. The hall is lavishly decorated with palm boughs and the occasional vase of flowers. The photograph is taken from behind a generous display of plants and flowers. Most of the guests are in evening dress b) Identical photograph mounted on cardboard.
