Programme for Unveiling of Memorial Plaque at the Central Greenough Cemetery
1979Two sheets of orange A4 paper folded in half and fixed with 2 staples, printed with black ink.
The first recorded burial at the Greenough cemetery was in 1853, and until its closure in 1967, more than 1,000 burials were registered in the region. By the 1970s the place was neglected until a group of local people got together to tidy the place up for the WA150 celebrations.

On cover - "The Unveiling and Blessing of the Memorial Plaque at Central Greenough Cemetery, Sunday 29th April 1979."
Inside contains the programme, a poem "Through Greenough Flats" by Ruby A. Penna, and two sketches (convict bridge and Wesleyan Chapel) by M. Cunningham.
This programme is another indicator of how the WA150 celebrations concentrated on the 'pioneers.'
