c. 1985Faded b&w photo of a man (identified as Eric Patten) dressed formally in a 'tails' suit, waist coat, bowtie and top hat.
In his left hand, he is carrying a large hand bell and he is full stride down (believed to be) Stirling Terrace, Toodyay.
To his left side at the rear is a man in casual dress, leaning against a verandah post and on the right rear is a young girl.
In the Town Crier's hand is a folded sheet of paper, photo believed to have been taken during one of the Moondyne Festivals.

Details
Believed to have been taken as promotional material for the Toodyay Tourist Centre, which managed many events and festivals at Toodyay from the late 1970s to the 1990s. In 1998 the Toodyay Tourist Centre Inc. amalgamated with the Shire of Toodyay and its assets were transferred to the Shire including, it is assumed, this photograph.
Similar in style to the group of photos accessioned in the Shire of Toodyay collection acc no 2012.61a-ap of the 1985 Moondyne Festival.
