A shield shaped bade with two red scrolls at either side of the bottom of the shield. The field of the shield is light blue enamel, a black swan in the centre and three stars above the swan. The badge has a pin and clasp at the back.

The letters "KSH" stand for "KATANNING SENIOR HIGH".

Under the swan in the centre of the shield in black enamel is "KSH". In the left scroll is "WE STRIVE" and in the right scroll is "TO EXCEL".

On the back of the badge above the pin is "SHERIDAN" and below the pin is "PERTH".
