Inscriptions and markings

Under the swan in the centre of the shield in black enamel is "KSH". In the left scroll in red enamel lettering is "WE STRIVE" and in the right scroll is "TO EXCEL".

On the bar attached to the badge in red enamel lettering is "HOUSE CAPTAIN".
