Overview

Historical information

Perth Heat and the Adelaide Clipsal Giants, both inaugural teams when the Australian Baseball League formed in 1989, had built a strong tradition of rivalry in the first two seasons. This tradition stretched back to the very first ABL game on October 27, 1989 when the Giants defeated the Heat 8‒5. Ron Nelson hit two home runs for the Giants in their come-from-behind victory. The next day the Heat put things straight by sweeping the double-header and winning their first ever home series.

In this program the two teams meet again at Parry Field baseball stadium in Perth on 29 & 30 November 1991 to continue that tradition.
