Historical information

Wests Baseball Club was one of the original West Australian Baseball League teams, formed in 1936.

In 1954 Wests were looking to purchase their own four-acre ground at Morley Park. To do this, they had to make application to the Companies Office to become an incorporated body. By doing so, they became the first incorporated baseball club in Australia.

The development of the ground was to take about two years. It was to be the first ground owned by a baseball club in WA.
