PHOTOGRAPH (DIGITAL): 111 HAY STREET, SUBIACO
c. 1950Copy photo of part of the house at 111 Hay Street, Subiaco. It shows the front window with corrugated shade over, verandah post and decorative capital. There is a blind dropped to the left of the post and a rolled blind between the post and the projecting part of the building on the right. There is the head of a boy bottom centre. The original photo appears to be creased, torn and dog-eared.
While the history of the house has not been researched, the Harwood family lived there from about 1944 (possibly earlier) until approximately 1960 (an exact date of when they left has not been ascertained. At one point there were about 13 people in the house when a neighbouring brick wall collapsed in 1953.
