Ross Ensign Camera
A black, plastic-coated box with a silver metal edged rectangle on the front. On the front of this rectangle are two round, silver rimmed holes. The bottom hole has protruding lenses with a silver metal ledge. Underneath this lens, printed onto the surface of the rectangle in silver letters is 'FUL-VUE/ SUPER'. In the top left corner on the left side of the box is a large round silver metal protruding circle with 'MADE IN ENGLAND' engraved around the edge. On top of the box is a small, rounded, metal plate with 'ROSS/ENSIGN' written in silver. There is also a brown leather camera case, the top opens from a front flap, and fastens to the base with a small, gold coloured metal clasp. The box is badly damaged, particularly on the lid, where sticky tape is holding it intact.
The donor purchased this camera in 1953. He bought it while living in the UK, as a present for his new girlfriend, who later became his wife.
