On the front of the bar is an small, round enamel badge, it has a dark blue circle in the middle with a silver outline and a stylized cross in the centre. Around the edge of the circle in small silver letters is 'ST JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION'. Underneath is a long stylized ribbon with a dark blue background and a small silver letters, 'ST JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE'.
