R. Hunt & Co. of Essex, U.K. were makers of stationary engines, agricultural machinery makers and iron founders. The company was established in 1808 by Robert Hunt. The company name changed over the years to include the names of sons and other partners who entered into the business. In 1886 after further changes in management the company name reverted to R.
