HAND DRAWN FIRE CART - WAFBB FIRE CART

Overview

Wooden fire brigade hand drawn cart. Pulled by at least two men, not horse drawn.
At the front there is a seat with a hinged and lidded compartment.
A reel is positioned behind the seat, presumably for winding a hose around.
A ladder is attached to the left hand side with brackets. Ladder is painted red.
There are two large wooden spoked wheels, one either side, painted red with an iron rims.

Historical information

Not a VFB demonstration cart as its wheels are higher, it has a front box and carries a ladder.
Came into the museum collection around 1985.
Prior to this it was stored in the back shed of the old Toodyay fire-station in Stirling Terrace.
