Overview

A red painted cylinder mounted on a kerosene container complete with wick.
A chimney built into top of cylinder to allow smoke out.
Round aperture on one side of cylinder to allow light to come out. Light then passes over lantern slide holder on to focusing lens mounted at front.
Lantern & lens separately mounted are fixed to board. (Perhaps home made).
The lantern was kerosene operated.
