Roly Quartermaine

From information provided by the donor, Roly stayed with the Gibbs family in Geraldton and worked as a wool buyer for Willcock Mofflin. His father was Ben Quartermaine, a blacksmith. Roly died in the 1930's from typhoid or typhus fever.

On the back of the postcard is written in type 'POST CARD CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS ONLY' and in the top left corner is a square with the word 'KODAK' top and bottom and 'AUSTRALIA' for the sides, this square marks the spot for the stamp
