Moojebing Hotel
1920A black and white picture of a brick and stone building which has a tin roof and three brick chimneys. There is a group of men, women and children standing outside the building and a 1920's vehicle of the right of the building. The men are all wearing suits, long trousers, ties and some have hats. The women are dressed in long skirts and long jackets. The girls are wearing knee length skirts or dresses, all are wearing socks and shoes. The boys are wearing shorts, jackets, long socks and shoes. One boy is standing next to the right hand side of the vehicle, two are sitting on the wheel rims and the youngest is sitting on the bonnet of the vehicle.
The people outside the hotel from Left to Right were: Frank Casey, Owen Marten, Herb Buckolz, unknown, unknown, behind the lady is Joe Baker. The lady is unknown, the man with hands in pocket is Phil Tanner the publican. Two men and the lady in front are unknown. William Haddleton, Amy Haddleton, Mrs Buckolz, the two small girls her children; Minna and Zena Buckolz, Ethel Haddleton, Job Haddleton, Tom, Les Horace and Wally Haddleton, the children on the car. The car belonged to Haddleton, was registered No KA 88
Moojebing was a siding about 10kms north from Katanning on the Great Southern Railway line. Unfortunately the hotel ruins can be seen in 2006.

On the roof of the building in large lettering which appears to be stamped on the tin is "THE MOOJEBING HOTEL"
The vehicle licence plate is "?.88"
On the back of the postcard is written "POST CARD" and underneath in two columns the words "CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODADK" at the top and bottom and the words "AUSTRAL" on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp. In the middle of the square is "8.30"
Moojebing was a siding was 12kms north of Katanning on the Great Southern Railway Line. The settlement in it's hey-day boated a hall, school and hotel as well as several homes, sporting teams and a farming community.
