Hough & Donald - blacksmiths, wheelwrights and coachbuilders:

A second blacksmith shop was erected in central Prince Street, Busselton by William Cridland. On deciding to move to Quindalup in 1890 to work for Henry Yelverton, he sold the business to C.J. Hough. Several years later, Hough took on his brother-in-law MR ROBERT DONALD as a partner. Donald was an experienced carpenter and together they operated as "Hough & Donald - blacksmiths, wheelwrights and coachbuilders" until 1906 when Hough left the partnership and the business extended to also include joinery, plumbing and undertaking. The business remained until the 1920s when it was purchased by J.R. Randall and then William Aspley who transferred the business to Bussell Highway, where it was situated until 1976 when it was moved to Busselton’s light industrial area.
