Overview

Women's Championship Trophy
This is the perpetual trophy used to recognise the winner of the annual Women's Club Championship.
It is titled:
Melville Glades Golf Club
Ladies Club Champions
The trophy is a crystal glass, two handled cup mounted on a plastic base which itself is mounted on a solid wooden base, all joined together. Around then wooden base are metal plaques where the engraved names of all the winners from 1969 onwards appear.
This trophy was purchased in 2020 and is the second trophy used to recognise the winners of this event. Women's (Associates) Championship Trophy (Item 2021.112) describes the original trophy which was a silver plated cup. This was discarded due to its age and condition as well as a lack of space to include the winners' names.
All previous winners on the original cup were added to the new trophy.
